My first overseas trip
My first overseas trip was to Hong Kong. I was 10 years old then. The main reason we decided to go to Hong Kong was that my sister and I kept pestering my parents to bring us to Disneyland. There are many Disneyland around the world, the most popular ones at the USA and Japan. But we chose Hong Kong as it is the nearest, least costly and had just opened during that time.
So there we were, on the plane heading for Hong Kong. It was also my first time on a plane. I was extremely excited. It was an Singapore Airline (SIA) plane. We asked for a window seat, unfortunately, only the seats it the middle were available, therefore we had to make do with it. During the flight, I kept playing the games on the television. The flight lasted for 4 hours. When the plane was just about to touch down, I managed to catch a glimpse of the view through the windows. It was magnificent! I could see the clouds and the city of Hong Kong below. The flight alone was an excellent experience.
When we arrived at Hong Kong, we were already behind schedule. We chose a 4-day 3-night package tour, hence had to follow the schedule. We were late for dinner. The whole tour group boarded the tour bus in a rush and managed to reach the destination in time. After the sumptuous meal which we had, we went to the Victoria Peak the watch the night scenery. It was very beautiful. After that, we went back to the hotel to rest for the next day. Only the hotel was unsatisfactory as it was small. At night, I was freezing to death!
For Day 2, we had Dim Sum for breakfast. We then shopped around. That was the only boring part for that day, but it lasted till evening. Next, we went to the Repulse Bay, a popular beach in Hong Kong. For the night, the tour guide then led us to the Golden Bauhinia Square. It was ice cold at night. My sister and I were both freezing. Finally, we returned to the hotel.
My favourite day was Day 3. That was the day we went to Disneyland. As it had just opened, it was very crowded. It took us a fairly long time to just take a picture with the people dressed in the Mickey and Minnie suits.
There are 4 different parts of Disneyland. They are Fantasyland, Torrowland, Adventureland and Main Street, USA. We took almost all the rides. The most memorable ones are the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and the Space Mountain. For the Astro Blasters we will have to use 'guns' to 'shoot' the targets. Of course, the one with the highest score wins. I was the worst in my family. The Space Mountain was a Roller-Coaster ride. It was extremely scary and thrilling! During the ride, you could see tiny dots of lights which looked like stars. I couldn't really see anything as I was without my spectacles and had closed my eyes throughout almost the whole ride. But it was still very exciting. For the final day, we shopped in the airport for a while, before heading back home. It was a fantastic trip overall and I was quite reluctant to leave.
Up to now, I have been to Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. This year end, my father promised me to bring us to Gold Coast, Australia. I just hope he keeps his promise.

Soccer
I became a fan of Chelsea when I was in Primary 3. My father started to subscribe to cablevision 2 years later as we became more interested in soccer. Then onwards, my father would try his best to catch every game of Manchester United 'live', but I could not watch late matches as I would usually have to attend school the following day. Whenever Manchester United loses or draws, I would feel a sense of triumph as United are one of Chelsea's rivals.

Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is just around the corner. It is one of the occasions which I have always been looking forward to. I just love celebrating Chinese New Year.
There are several reasons why I love it. Firstly, I would be able to eat lots of good delicacies for the reunion dinner and other Chinese New Year goodies. Due to my medical condition, I was restricted to many kinds of food last year. Therefore, I wasn't able to enjoy myself much. Fortunately, I have fully recovered now and can finally eat my favourite food.
Secondly, I would be able to collect my red packets from my relatives. Last year, I collected about $300. For this year, I hope to get more money than the previous years. The amount which I would be satisfied is approximately $330. But of course, the more the better!
Lastly, I would be able to meet my relatives when I visit them. I want to meet my grandparents and cousins especially. Besides my grandparents, I seldom get a chance to meet my other relatives. I would only meet them during special occasions, for example, Christmas. Whenever we meet, my younger cousins would always pester me to play hide-and-seek with them.
One thing I dislike about Chinese New Year is the spring cleaning part. My family would have to clean up the whole house, which is hard work. But no matter what, I still can't wait for Chinese New Year to come! Happy Chinese Year!

Introduction of myself
Hi! My name is Marcus. I am 13 years old and my favourite sport is football, although I am not very good at it. I enjoy watching the English Premier League, and Chelsea have always been my favourite club. But sad to say, they have not been performing, though the current squad is quite strong. Somehow, I believe that they should be able to topple Manchester United and Liverpool to clinch the title.

I am someone who loves to eat and I am not very picky about food. I love going for buffets, especially the one at Tung Lok restaurant. I especially love the shark's fin soup, but too bad, each diner is entitled to only one bowl. My favourite food is curry chicken and I pester my mother quite often to get her to make that dish. Just thinking about it already makes me saliviate!
I am currently studying in Victoria School, Class 2D. My CCA is Audio Visual Club (AV Club) and it is on every Thursday. My duties require me to set up the sound system for the morning assembly as well as for school functions. I prefer sports CCAs, but could not join any because of my medical condition. It is already coming to the end of the second week of Term 1, but I still have difficulty waking up at 6 a.m. in the morning. How I wish the school holidays would come soon. I have quite a few good pals in my class. Last December, they came to my house and we had a great time competing against one another playing the X box games (Fifa 08 and Halo 3).
Basically, I am quite a simple person and is someone who is easy to get along with and I enjoy making new friends.
